Our Innovative Research Instruments

What makes our instruments different?
The way we collect responses, and our ability to test visual materials. At PSR, we use rich visuals and animation to collect responses as well as to present stimuli. Our techniques elicit richer and more reliable data than conventional online research.

The way we collect responses
The layout and interactivity of our instruments allow us to collect responses in a graphic, respondent-friendly manner.

Unique visual layouts elicit responses to open-ended questions, rather than open text boxes.

Research respondents click and drag graphics or text to indicate their answers, rather than typing in responses.

Numerical responses can be provided by using sliders, rather than typing in numbers.

Percentage responses
are visualized by animated pie charts or bar charts.
PSRPiechart

Grids of ratings
are replaced by a single line of animated text that fades in for the respondent to rate.

Our ability to test visual materials
The nature of the online environment, coupled with our DIAGRAM software, allows us to test journal ads, sales aids, and slide kits in a truly interactive fashion.

Electronic tip-ins allow respondents to enter a journal, turn pages, and view both advertising and editorial copy.*
PSRPageFlip

Sales aid testing
is conducted by presenting several options for either graphics or copy simultaneously. By clicking and dragging the stimuli, respondents create their preferred sales aid.

Similarly, slide kit evaluations allow respondents to delete, reorder, and edit slides to create the optimal kit.
